Temporary procedure for foreign nationals when crossing the state border of the Russian Federation

In accordance with Russian Government Order No. 635-r dated 16 March 2020, the entry of foreign nationals and stateless persons, including those arriving from the Republic of Belarus, as well as citizens of the Republic of Belarus, into the Russian Federation has been temporarily restricted effective from 00 hours 00 minutes (midnight) on 18 March 2020 in order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus (2019-nCoV) in Russia.

This restriction will remain in force until 1 May 2020.

At the same time, citizens of the Russian Federation who are outside the country can return to Russia without hindrance using the document on which they departed.
