Russian Railways to lay on additional evening runs of Sapsan trains from 4 October 2017


In order to meet increased passenger demand for high-speed Sapsan services between Moscow and St. Petersburg, Russian Railways will be laying on late runs of Sapsan trains from 4 October 2017, thus effectively increasing their number.

 In total, 14 pairs of Sapsan trains will run daily from 4 October 2017. During the rush hour (for example, on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays), the number of trips will be increased to 16 pairs. Note that 13 pairs of Sapsan trains currently run daily and 15 pairs on days of high demand.

Tickets are already on sale for these trains at all long-distance railway ticket offices and through the official website of Russian Railways and the official mobile application RZD Passengers.
