The new high-speed Lastochka international trains No. 717/718 and No. 721/722 between Moscow – Minsk will start running twice a day from 30 April.

The trains will run during the day with morning and evening services.

Passengers can view the layout and designs of the carriages under Lastochka New Standard-Premium in the section High-Speed Trains.

Travelling on the Lastochka

Lastochka trains with Premium configuration are specially designed for comfortable travel on long-distance routes.

Each train has 5 carriages capable of carrying 349 passengers.

Passengers are offered a choice of 3 service classes:

  • Business class (a specially designated area in carriage No. 5, 1P with meals),
  • Economy class (2P with services),
  • Basic class (2Zh, no services, transportation of pets is possible).

Lastochka trains are equipped with climate control systems with an air disinfection function, LED lighting, bio-toilets, sanitisers and coolers, as well as information display boards.

Business and economy class passengers can access the onboard multimedia portal Travel Companion [Travel Guide] with entertainment content such as films, books, music and printed publications.

On board the train you can buy food, souvenirs and items for the journey by paying cash in Russian roubles or making non-cash payments using bank cards attached to the international payment systems.

For passengers with disabilities, the Lastochka provides wheelchair lifts, as well as dedicated seats/berths with a wheelchair mount and a button to call the conductor.

Passenger Information

Foreign citizens and citizens of the Russian Federation over 6 years old require a medical document confirming a negative result of a PCR test for COVID-19 in order to enter the Republic of Belarus.

Citizens of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union arriving in the Russian Federation from abroad on trains, including from the Republic of Belarus, are required to submit an examination certificate for the COVID-19 coronavirus infection with a negative laboratory test by the PCR method and which has been issued no later than 3 days prior to arriving in the Russian Federation.

Citizens of the Russian Federation returning to the Russian Federation from abroad on trains, including from the Republic of Belarus, must fill out a questionnaire on the Unified State and Municipal Services Portal (USMSP) before arriving in the Russian Federation, and upon arrival pass a laboratory test for COVID-19 by PCR within three calendar days and upload the result to the USMSP. It is imperative that passengers observe the isolation regime at their place of residence (stay) until they have obtained the results.
