Russia resumes passenger rail service with Finland

The Russian Federation has been resuming passenger rail service with Finland since December 12. This is stated in the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Two pairs of trains per day will be launched on the St. Petersburg Helsinki route, taking into account compliance with sanitary and epidemiological requirements. In January of this year, the Russian Federation resumed air service with Finland. Railway communication between the Russian Federation and Finland was discontinued in March 2020 due to the COVID pandemic.
