Vladimir Antonets was appointed head of the Trans-Baikal Railway

On November 11, during a working visit to Chita, Oleg Belozerov, General Director – Chairman of the Management Board of Russian Railways, introduced Vladimir Antonets, the new head of the Trans-Baikal Railway, to the mainline staff.

"Vladimir Alexandrovich knows the specifics of the work, has established himself as a competent and responsible leader. I am sure that under his leadership, the Trans-Baikal Railway will be able not only to maintain the achieved level, but also to achieve significant results," the head of Russian Railways noted.

According to him, the Trans-Baikal Railway, being one of the longest sections Transsiba, currently remains the most heavily loaded in Russia.

Vladimir Antonets thanked the head of the holding for the trust.

"The Trans-Baikal Railway faces large-scale tasks. I believe that both the team and the built management system will allow them to be solved in accordance with the parameters determined by the state and the company's management. I will make every effort to multiply the existing successes of the road and increase the level of reliability and quality of transportation," said the new head of the highway.

Vladimir Alexandrovich Antonets was born in 1977 in the village of Kladbinko in the North Kazakhstan region of the Kazakh SSR.

In 1996 he graduated from the Petropavlovsk Technical School of Railway Transport with a degree in "Maintenance and repair of railway transport, track technician", in 2005 – Siberian State University of Railways with a degree in "Railway Construction, track and Track management". He began his career in railway transport in 1996 as a track fitter at the track engine station No. 172 of the South Ural Railway.

He worked his way up from foreman to the head of the distance of the way. Then, in different years, he held the positions of Deputy head and head of the Gorky Railway Track Service, first deputy head of the Gorky Infrastructure Directorate, deputy head of the Central Infrastructure Directorate. Since 2016, he has led the work of the Central Directorate for the Repair of the track – a branch of JSC "Russian Railways".
