Tourist round-trip route to Karelia to run to September 2021
For passengers wishing to visit the Republic of Karelia this coming autumn, the Russian Railways’ Holding is extending the round-trip tourist route No. 936 Moscow – Sortavala – Ruskeala Mountain Park – Moscow until September.
The train will feature a direct luxury carriage and depart from Moscow’s Leningrad Railway Station on Fridays at 4:50 pm and arrive back on Sundays at 10:16 am.
There are 4 comfortable compartments in the luxury carriage. Each compartment has 2 berths, an armchair, a folding table, an individual biotoilet and a shower. Each compartment has everything the traveller requires: hairdryer, bathrobe, towels, slippers and a cosmetic set for men and women.
The ticket price includes guaranteed services: meals (2 breakfasts), a guided walking tour of the town of Sortavala and an entrance ticket to the Ruskeala Mountain Park, which is a fascinating excursion that enables passengers to come into close contact with the history of the Ruskeala underground marble mining site, as well as a walk around the park in a horse-drawn carriage driven by a coachman dressed in the stylised uniform from the beginning of the last century.
Tickets for the round-trip tourist route can be purchased at all long-distance railway ticket offices, on the official website of Russian Railways and the RZD Passengers mobile app.
