Russian Railways’ Holding scales up Agroexpress service to China
The Russian Railways’ Holding has dispatched Russian-made dairy products from the Moscow region to Chengdu in China.
This test transportation was carried out on behalf of the Galaktika Group of Companies, one of Russia’s largest dairy producers.
The loaded 40-foot container was dispatched from Selyatino station in Moscow Region via Khorgos to Xian and from there further shipped by rail to Chengdu as part of an accelerated container train.
The route is one of the most promising for organising shipments to China’s provinces in the country’s interior.
At Bekasovo station, the wagon with the container was hitched to a transit container train travelling in the same direction.
Staff at RZD Logistics handled the export customs clearance procedures and prepared the documents for passing the cargo’s veterinary checks.
The shipment was carried out within the framework of the Agroexpress project, which is being implemented by RZD Logistics to handle the export of products by Russia’s domestic agricultural producers.
RZD Logistics is constantly improving its services, expanding the list of routes and bringing modern transportation solutions to bear using refrigerated containers and flexitanks.
This allows it to offer its customers transportation services for a wide range of freight and guarantee the security of the goods during the transportation process.
