Russian Railways ready to share with Serbia experience in constructing urban transport infrastructure

Sergei Pavlov, First Deputy Managing Director of Russian Railways, met with a delegation from the Belgrade Mayor’s Office in Moscow on 17 March 2021.

The meeting revolved around cooperation on the development of passenger railway traffic in the Belgrade metropolitan area with the involvement of Russian technologies.

Sergei Pavlov stressed that the Russian Railways’ Holding valued ​​the high trust of the Serbs and the level of strategic partnership that had been achieved.

“Russia and Serbia are good examples of mutually beneficial partnership, including in the railway sector. I am sure we will continue with new projects and pass on our experience in passenger logistics and the construction of urban transport infrastructure,” said Sergei Pavlov.

The Serbian delegation also visited the Podmoskovnaya depot and the Moscow Central Ring on 17 March. Russian railway workers shared with the Serbian delegation the unique experience gained by Russian Railways in developing the railway infrastructure of the Central Transport Hub and servicing intercity passenger traffic using the example of the Moscow Central Ring.
