Loading volumes of freight cargoes for export transported to ports of Azov-Black Sea basin up 2.5% in January-August 2020

The loading volumes of cargoes transported to the seaports of the Azov-Black Sea basin for export between January and August this year amounted to 50.1 million tons, an increase of 2.5% on the same eight-month period last year.

In the reporting period, 21 million tons of cargo for export were transported to the port station at Novorossiysk, an increase of 0.1%, 10.5 million tons to Tuapse, an increase of 4.3%, 8.6 million tons to the port of Taman at Vyshesteblievskaya, a jump of 57.2%, and about 3.8 million tons to Grushevaya, a decline of 19.4%.

Oil accounted for 33.6% of the export freight traffic carried by North Caucasus Railways, followed by coal (21.8%), ferrous metals (14.7%), grain (11.6%), iron ore (6.8%) and fertilisers (4.6%).
