Temporary suspension of international services with Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan

In accordance with announcements by Uzbekistan Railways (Ozbekiston Temir Yollari) and Azerbaijan Railways (Azәrbaycan Dәmir Yolları), international passenger services have been suspended from 16 March 2020 until further notice in order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection (2019-nCoV).

Announcements will be made when services are resumed.

As a result, the following passenger trains have been suspended, including trailer and direct carriages running with these trains:

  • No. 334/333 Tashkent - Saratov – Tashkent, departing from Tashkent from 16 March 2020 and from Saratov from 19 March 2020;
  • No. 381/382 Tashkent - Ufa - Tashkent, departing from Tashkent from 19 March and from Ufa from 21 March 2020;
  • No. 369/370 Tashkent - Novosibirsk - Tashkent, departing from Tashkent from 18 March and from Novosibirsk from 21 March 2020;
  • No. 324/323 Tashkent - Volgograd - Tashkent, departing from Tashkent from 18 March and from Volgograd from 21 March 2020;
  • No. 371/372 Andijan - Ufa - Andijan, departing from Andijan from 21 March and from Ufa from 24 March 2020;
  • No. 315/316 Tashkent - Kazan - Tashkent, departing from Tashkent from 21 March and from Kazan from 24 March 2020;
  • No. 350/349 Tashkent - Moscow - Tashkent, departing from Tashkent from 20 March and from Moscow from 24 March 2020;
  • No. 365/366 Chelyabinsk - Tashkent - Chelyabinsk, departing from Chelyabinsk from 22 March and from Tashkent from 24 March 2020;
  • No. 369/370 Baku - Kiev - Baku, including a direct carriage between Baku - Dnepropetrovsk – Baku, departing from Baku from 21 March;
  • No. 149/150 Andijan - Moscow - Andijan, departing from Andijan from 16 March and from Moscow from 19 March, including direct carriages operated by the Federal Passenger Company and running between Orenburg - St. Petersburg, departing from Orenburg from 18 March 2020;
  • No. 5/6 Tashkent - Moscow - Tashkent, departing from Tashkent from 19 March and from Moscow from 23 March, including direct carriages operated by the Federal Passenger Company and running between Orenburg - St. Petersburg, departing from Orenburg on 28 March 2020.
    • The procedure for direct Federal Passenger Company carriages running between Orenburg - St. Petersburg will be announced soon.

Unused tickets for cancelled trains can be returned without incurring any additional charges and fees.

In order to obtain refunds, passengers must contact a rail ticket office in the country where they purchased the ticket. Passengers can submit electronic tickets using the web resources through which they initially purchased the tickets.

Passengers can obtain detailed information on the procedure for receiving refunds money for unused tickets from the 24- hour Unified Information and Service Centre of Russian Railways on 8 (800) 775-00-00 when calling from within Russia and on +7 (499) 605-20-00 when calling from abroad.

Up-to-date information on changes to international train timetables can be obtained from the section International Routes / Operational Information on the website of Russian Railways.

Passengers should note that when booking tickets at a ticket office of the Federal Passenger Company, a subsidiary of Russian Railways, and through the website of Russian Railways and the RZD mobile app, they can leave their mobile phone numbers in order to receive notifications of possible delays and changes to the timetables in the event of emergencies.
