Temporary suspension of international services with Latvia
In accordance with the announcement of Latvijas Dzelzcels (Latvian Railways) to suspend rail services inorder to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection (2019-nCoV), international passengertrains have been suspended from 17 March 2020 until further notice.
An announcement will be made when services are resumed.
Thus, international passenger train No. 2/1 Riga - Moscow and the direct carriages Riga - St. Petersburghave been cancelled, beginning with services from Riga departing from 15 March and departing fromMoscow and St. Petersburg from 16 March.
Unused tickets for cancelled trains can be returned without incurring any additional charges and fees.
In order to receive their refunds, passengers must apply to any railway ticket office in the country wherethey purchased their ticket. Passengers can return electronic tickets using the web resources throughwhich they initially booked their tickets.
