Temporary suspension of international services with Germany and France

In accordance with an announcement by PKP Intercity (Polish Railways) on the closure of rail trafficthrough the Republic of Poland in order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus (2019-nCoV),international passenger services have been suspended from 14 and 15 March 2020 until further notice.

An announcement will be made when services are resumed.

As a result, the following trains between Moscow and Berlin and between Moscow and Paris have beencancelled:

  • Nos. 13/440-441/14 Moscow - Berlin departing from Moscow on 15 March and departing fromBerlin on 16 March;
  • Nos. 23/452/322-323/453/24 Moscow - Paris departing from Moscow on 17 March anddeparting from Paris on 19 March.
  • Train 441/14 Berlin - Moscow departing from Berlin on 14 March will depart in accordance withthe timetable. The train will make stops at Frankfurt-an-der-Oder, Rzepin and Poznań stations inaccordance with the timetable before proceeding at higher speeds. The train will depart fromWarsaw at 02:47 local time and proceed to Terespol as quickly as possible.
  • Train Nos. 17/407-18/408 Moscow - Nice had previously been temporarily suspended, as haddirect carriages Nos. 19/753, 21/355, 22/356 running between Moscow - Prague - Moscow.

Unused tickets for cancelled trains can be returned without incurring any additional charges and fees.Passengers must apply to a rail ticket office in the country where they purchased their ticket in order toobtain a refund. Passengers can return electronic tickets using the web resources through which theybooked them.

Passengers can find detailed information on the procedure for obtaining refunds for unused tickets fromthe 24-hour Unified Information Service Centre of Russian Railways on 8 (800) 775-00-00 for calls fromwithin Russia and on + 7 (499) 605-20-00 for calls from abroad.

The latest information on timetable changes can be found on the Russian Railways website.

Passengers should note that when booking their tickets at a ticket office of the Federal PassengerCompany, a subsidiary of Russian Railways, on the website, and through the RZD Passengers mobile app,they can leave their mobile numbers to receive notifications about possible delays and changes to thetimetable in the event of emergencies.
