Grain loading volumes at Far Eastern Railways up nearly sevenfold during January to August 2021

From January to August 2021, grain loading volumes on Far Eastern Railways amounted to 159,700 tons, 6.9 times more than during the same period in 2020.

The largest increase in loading volumes was recorded in Primorsky Territory. More than half the total grain volume, nearly 84,000 tons, was loaded at Ussuriisk station.

About 136,000 tons were exported, mainly to countries in the Asia-Pacific region and Bangladesh. More than 23,000 tons of grain were loaded for the domestic market, according to the Corporate Communications Service at Far Eastern Railways.
