BFI has sent the Baltic Sea ferry Petersburg to carry out freight and passenger transport, ensure traffic safety and the attractiveness of the Crimean peninsula. The Petersburg arrived at the port of Novorossiysk on 28 June 2014 and carried out a test voyage with cars between Novorossiysk – Kerch in early July 2014.

The Petersburg is a roll-on/roll-off passenger ferry (RO-PAX) with a capacity of about 120 units of heavy vehicles and more than 150 passengers.

The ferry can also be used to transport passengers to / from the Crimea on a single through ticket, while a bus fleet can, if necessary, also be carried on the ferry together with passengers, thus increasing the ferry's passenger capacity to 300 - 450 people.

It is planned that the Petersburg will operate on a regular service between Novorossiysk – Kerch and Novorossiysk – Sebastopol and handle passenger transport and roll-on/roll-off cargo.
