Moscow Railways

Operating length – 8,800 km.

Moscow Railway serves the Russian capital and Moscow, Tula, Orel, Kursk, Ryazan, Smolensk, Kaluga and Bryansk Oblasts, part of Vladimir, Belgorod and Lipetsk Oblasts and the Republic of Mordovia.

Moscow Railways is managed from Moscow. Eleven lines converge on the Moscow rail hub and are connected by the 54km Small Ring and the 558km Large Circumference Ring.

Moscow Railway carries a huge amount of commuter traffic, with an electric train departing every 4-6 minutes during peak times.
