Russian Railways: Loading of export cargo bound for domestic ports up 3.4% to 281.4 million tonnes in 11M’19

Russian Railways says that loading of Russia’s export cargo bound for domestic ports grew by 3.4%, year-on-year, to 281.4 million tonnes in January-November’2019.

In the reporting period, loading of export cargo to the ports of the North-West Region totaled 119.5 million tonnes (+3.3%, year-on-year), to the port of the Southern Region – about 68.2 million tonnes (-0.4%), to the ports of the Far East Region – 93.7 million tonnes (+6.4%).

In particular, coal loading grew by 8.8%, year-on-year, to 142.5 million tonnes including 13.3 million tonnes to southern ports (up 35.8%), 49.7 million tonnes to north-western ports (up 4.3%) and 79.5 million tonnes to far eastern ports (up 8%).

Coal accounts for 50.6% of exports, oil – for 26.6%, ferrous metal – for 7%, fertilizers – for 6.9%.
