1400 additional trains to run during Russian New Year and Christmas holidays

In order to meet the increased demand for transportation during the New Year and Christmas holidays, FPC (a subsidiary of Russian Railways) appoints about 1,400 additional trains.

Peak departure dates are expected on 27 and 28 December 2019, as well as on 7 and 8 January 2020.

Between December 25, 2019 and January 12, 2020, additional trains will appear on the most popular routes. From Moscow they will go to St. Petersburg, Adler, Novorossiysk, Arkhangelsk, Kotlas, Kazan, Izhevsk, Kirov, Samara, Ufa, Penza, Chelyabinsk, Orenburg and other cities. From the northern capital additional flights are scheduled to Moscow, Chelyabinsk, Yekaterinburg, Kirov, Cherepovets, Arkhangelsk, Smolensk, Great Luke, as well as other popular destinations.

With the increased demand for trips in the New Year and Christmas holidays, it is possible to include additional carriages in the trains already assigned.

Tickets for additional trains can be purchased at the railway ticket offices, self-service terminals at railway stations, on the official website of the Russian Railways (http://pass.rzd.ru/main-pass/public/en) and with the help of the mobile application "Russian Railways to Passengers."
