International Transport and Logistics Forum “PRO//Movement.1520” opens in Sochi
The International Transport and Logistics Forum "PRO//Movement.1520" has started its work in Sochi in southern Russia. The Russian Railways delegation at the forum is headed by Oleg Belozerov, the Company’s Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board.
Opening the event, Belozerov read out greetings to the Forum’s participants from Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
Oleg Belozerov went on to note that this year, the Forum was dedicated to the prospects for the development of unified seamless transport across the 1520 Space.
"All the challenges of our time – whether it is a question of digitalisation or seamless logistics, cross-border interoperability or innovations in railway technology – all these questions can only be answered if all the stakeholders are constantly engaged," said Belozerov.
The Company’s Chief Executive Officer and Chairman said that freight transport was moving confidently towards seamless operations.
There is indeed great potential in this regard, and in passenger traffic, in particular with regard to international rail tourism and transport solutions for cities.
The International Transport and Logistics Forum "PRO//Movement.1520" is taking place in Sochi from 28 to 30 October 2019.
It is being attended by 1,450 people from 17 countries and 325 companies.
