Double Allegro trains to be laid on during May 2019 holidays
In order to meet the increased demand for transportation between Russia and Finland during April and May 2019, OJSC Russian Railways will be laying on double international high-speed Allegro trains with twice the usual number of carriages between St. Petersburg - Helsinki.
The appointment of Allegro double trains enables an increase in the passenger carrying capacity without making any timetable changes or creating obstructions to the passage of other trains.
From 19 April to 5 May, the following Allegro trains will run with double the usual number of carriages:
Passengers can now obtain tickets for the double Allegro trains at railway ticket offices and from the official website of Russian Railways and the Russian Railways’ Passengers mobile app.
When selling tickets, settlements are made in roubles at the rate set by the Central Bank of Russia on the date the tickets are booked.
