Moscow-Vladivostok Mail Train to run daily
From 1 October 2017, trains operated by the Federal State Unitary Enterprise (FSUE) Russian Post will be dispatched from Moscow and Vladivostok every 24 hours.
An agreement to this effect was reached during a working meeting between the President of Russian Railways Oleg Belozerov and the Managing Director of Russian Post Nikolai Podguzov.
The new daily service will cut the delivery time of postal items from the Russian capital to the Far East and vice versa.
The regular railway mail service between Moscow - Vladivostok began in August 2014, but until now, trains departed from Moscow and Vladivostok only every other day.
Russian Post owns more than 700 wagons and will acquire 45 new wagons in 2017.
