Oleg Belozerov takes part in meeting with the Russia-France Business Cooperation Council and the French business community

On 14 March 2017, in Paris, Oleg Belozerov, the President of Russian Railways and Co-Chairman of the Russia-France Business Cooperation Council on Economic, Financial, Industrial and Trade Issues, (RFBCC) took part in a meeting with representatives of the French business community, together with Maxim Oreshkin, Russia's Minister of Economic Development.

The event was organised by the Movement of Enterprises of France MEDEF International.

The participants in the meeting discussed the most topical issues regarding cooperation between business in Russia and France and noted that mutual interest in the development of cooperation remains, despite the increasingly complicated business conditions of recent years.

Oleg Belozerov also took part in the plenary session of the Russia-France Business Cooperation Council on Economic, Financial, Industrial and Trade Issues (RFBCC).

In the course of his address, Belozerov informed the meeting's participants about the activities planned under the RFBCC's aegis in 2017 and also noted the need to intensify contacts between the business circles of Russia and France.

The Movement of France Enterprises (MEDEF) is an independent organisation uniting 800,000 French enterprises in various industries.

MEDEF International was established to encourage the activities of French enterprises abroad and establish direct contacts with state leaders and private representatives in countries all over the world.

MEDEF International operates 82 bilateral business councils which are headed by 53 chairmen of major international French companies.

The Russian-French Council on Economic, Financial, Industrial and Trade Issues (RFC) is one of the main bodies facilitating intergovernmental interaction between Russia and France.

The RFC co-chairmen are Maxim Oreshkin, Russia's Minister of Economic Development, and Michel Sapin, the French Minister of the Economy, Industry and Digital Affairs.
