New international train to connect West Siberia with Kazakhstan’s capital Astana

From 9 December 2018, the new international train No. 363/364 will start running between Tomsk - Karaganda via Novosibirsk Barnaul, Kulundu, Pavlodar and Kazakhstan’s capital Astana.

Two trains will run on the line, one operated by the Federal Passenger Company, a subsidiary of Russian Railways, and one by Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, Kazakhstan’s national rail company. Both open-plan carriages and compartment carriages will be available.

The train will run every other day, departing from Tomsk at 5:08 pm on odd days of the week and from Karaganda at 23:24, also on odd days.

Tickets can be purchased through the official website of Russian Railways and at ticket offices, as well as through the RZD Passengers mobile app, all of which also have full details of the timetable. Local time is indicated for stations located in Russia. For stations located in Kazakhstan, the time shown corresponds to Astana’s time zone (UTC +6).

Passengers should note that tickets for international trains between Russia and Kazakhstan can be booked up to 45 days before the train’s departure date.
