Russian Railways, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Sojitz Corporation ready to cooperate
Russian Railways and the Japanese companies Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Sojitz Corporation have signed a memorandum of understanding.
The signing took place in Sochi on 2 October 2018 within the framework of the International Transport and Logistics Forum PRO//Movement 1520.
Oleg Belozerov, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Russian Railways, Yoshihiro Shiraiva, Senior Vice President and Head of Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, and Noriyaki Kitamura, a company officer at Sojitz Corporation, put their signature to the document.
The parties expressed their willingness to cooperate in developing joint investment opportunities for the development of terminal and logistics infrastructure at Shushary village in the Baltic Sea region and the town of Ussuriysk in Primorsky Krai in Russia’s Far East.
