Russian Railways wins award at "Formula of Motion 2017" for second time
Russian Railways has won the 2017 Formula of Motion award in the category "Best Logistics Solution" for its project "Intermodal Communication between Moscow and the North-Western Federal District with Innovative Sapsan and Lastochka High-Speed Trains".
A diploma and a commemorative badge were presented to Pavel Burtsev, head of the business unit, the Department of Passenger Transport Management.
The presentation was made at the XI International Forum “Transport of Russia”.
"It is very pleasing to receive an award in this category. The expanding geography where Lastochka trains operate demonstrates the successful development of passenger railway services and promotes an increase in the population's mobility," said Pavel Burtsev.
The award ceremony was conducted by Mikhail Blinkin, who served as the Chairman of the Prize Jury and is Director of the Institute for Transport Economics and Transport Policy at the Higher School of Economics, as well as a member of the Expert Council under the Government of the Russian Federation.
The “Formula of Motion” is a national award for achievements in the field of transport and transport infrastructure. It was established in 2014 by the Public Council of the Ministry of Transport of Russia, so 2017 marked the fourth time it has been held.
The award is designed to promote the development of transport infrastructure, improve the level of transport services, and stimulate state and commercial structures to solve significant problems in the transport sector.
