Oleg Belozerov, President of Russian Railways, has met with representatives of companies which are members of the Association of European Business. At the meeting, which took place in Moscow on 11 February 2016, Belozerov acquainted the participants with the work of Russian Railways.

According to the President of Russian Railways, in 2016 the Company will continue to implement a number of infrastructure projects of national importance, modernise the Baikal-Amur Main Line and the Trans-Siberian Railway, reconstruct the Moscow transport hub, further pursue development projects, develop and renovate the railway infrastructure on the approaches to the ports of the Azov-Black Sea basin and construct a railway line bypassing Ukraine. Additional priority areas included rolling stock, traffic safety and the elimination of infrastructure constraints.

Oleg Belozerov said that promising areas for cooperation with foreign partners include the development of innovative techniques and technologies for railway transport in cooperation with advanced domestic breakthroughs and their subsequent localisation in Russia, joint projects on the exchange of experience and training of professionals and the development of international transport corridors, as well as the implementation of international rail standards.
