Moscow–Paris Passengers to Receive Additional 15% Discount in Germany and France

The Federal Passenger Company (FPC), a subsidiary of Russian Railways, has joined the system of discounts on Interrail Pass and Eurail Pass international travel accounts.

On 13 December 2015, international train No. 23/24–452/453 Moscow–Paris, which is operated by the FPC, established special Interrail and Eurail fares for travel between stations in the German and French railway systems for the first time. These fares are also valid for journeys within the borders of one of these countries). Special rates apply for individual passengers who are registered holders of Interrail Pass and Eurail Pass.

Interrail offers a discount of 15% of the cost of travel and Eurail offers a 10% discount on the fare. To receive the discount, passengers must present your ticket to the Interrail cashier.

Discounts offered on Eurail and Interrail tariffs are applied consistently, with the discounts depending on the time of sale and the location of seats in the car. Individual passengers receive a discount of 5% on the top berth when buying tickets from FPC, Russian Railways and their authorised agents in Russia, as well as a 10% discount on all seats when purchasing tickets 60 to 45 days before their departure.

Thus, the maximum discount using the new Eurail and Interrail tariff can reach 23–27%.

Discounts on the new tariffs are not available for groups of passengers and cannot be used in conjunction with discounts for children and other special rates (Junior, Senior, etc.) set for international train No. 23/24 Moscow–Paris. Special Interrail and Eurail fares apply only if the entire route of the journey passes through the territory of Germany and France or is in these countries.

An Interrail Global Pass and Interrail OneCountry Pass can purchased in Moscow (Malyi Kharitonievsky per., D. 6, ticket office no. 3), St. Petersburg (nab. Kanala Griboyedova, d. 24, 2nd floor, ticket office no. 85), and Rostov-on-Don (Privokzal'naya pl., d. ½, ticket office no. 4).
