Kaliningrad - Moscow train to operate trailer carriages to Vilnius

With the introduction of the new train timetable on 13 December 2015, branded train No. 30/29 Kaliningrad - Moscow (Yantar) will include trailer carriages operated by Lithuanian Railways on the Vilnius - Moscow route.

Until December 13 2015, the Vilnius - Moscow route will continue to be served by train No. 6/5 operated by Lithuanian Railways and transit train No. 30 / 29 Kaliningrad - Moscow operated by the Federal Passenger Company, which is a subsidiary of Russian Railways.

On the introduction of the new timetable, train No. 6/5 will be cancelled.

For the convenience of passengers and to improve the transport service between Kaliningrad - Vilnius - Moscow, from 13 December 2015 train timetable No. 30/29 Kaliningrad - Moscow with a group of trailers carriages between Vilnius - Moscow will be amended as follows:

  • departing from Moscow on December 14 at 17:20 (instead of 14:19), arriving in Vilnius the next day at 6:33 (instead of 3:49) and in Kaliningrad at 14:00 (instead of 11:09);
  • departing from Kaliningrad from 13 December at 13:47 (instead of 13:44), arriving in Vilnius at 18:35 (instead of 18:46) and in Moscow the next day at 9:20 am (instead of 9:38).

It is also planned to lay on additional train No. 147/148 Moscow - Kaliningrad during periods of increasing passenger demand.
