Russian Railways' network transported 89.6 m passengers in October 2015

According to the latest figures, the infrastructure of Russian Railways transported 89.6 m passengers from all carriers in October 2015, 4.2% fewer than during October 2014. Suburban passenger numbers were down 4.1% to 82.3 m, while long-distance passengers amounted to 7.2 m, a fall of 5.3%.
Passenger turnover in October 2015 was 8.9 bn passenger-kilometres, which is 6.3% less than in October 2014.
During January-October 2015, 859.7 m passengers travelled in total, a fall of 4.5% compared to January-October 2014. Suburban passenger numbers fell to 776.6 m, a fall of 4.4%, while long-distance passengers totalled 83.2 m passengers, a decline of 5.2%.
Passenger turnover at the Russian Railways' network since the beginning of 2015 decreased by 6.8% compared to last year and amounted to 103.2 bn passenger-kilometres.
