Russian Railways signs a number of agreements and memoranda at EXPO 1520


The management at OJSC Russian Railways signed a number of agreements and memorandums today at the V International Railway Salon EXPO 1520.

  • Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between UNIFE (European Rail Industry Association) and OJSC Russian Railways

The document was signed by Valentin Gapanovich, Senior Vice-President at Russian Railways, and Philippe Citroen, UNIFE Managing Director General.

According to the Memorandum, the parties intend to develop cooperation in the field of quality assurance in the railway industry by exchanging their knowledge and experience.

  • Agreement on the Exchange of Information on Violations of Standardised Metrology between the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Russian Federation (Rosstandart), the Federal Railway Transport Agency of the Russian Federation (Roszheldor) and OJSC Russian Railways

The document was signed by Valentin Gapanovich, Senior Vice-President at Russian Railways, Vladimir Chepets, Acting Head of Roszheldor, and Alexey Kuleshov, Deputy Head of Rosstandart.

The agreement provides for implementing cooperation aimed at improving the efficiency of federal state metrological supervision in the sphere of railway transport by exchanging information on violations in the area of ​​standardised metrology.

  • Roadmap for organising interaction between enterprises and organisations in the Vladimir region and Russian Railways in the use of highly efficient technologies and innovative products and services, including in solving problems of import substitution for the rail industry.

The document was signed by Valentin Gapanovich, Senior Vice-President at Russian Railways, and Alexei Marchenko, First Deputy Governor of Vladimir region.

The project will increase the efficiency and transparency of procedures for access to industrial, scientific and technical products, as well as to the products and services by organisations of the Vladimir region, to purchases for Russian Railways in the framework attracting domestic producers to participate in the import substitution programme and the development of new high-tech manufacturing equipment.

  • Memorandum of Cooperation between Russian Railways and Vossloh AG on the development of production systems using lean manufacturing techniques

The document was signed by Victor Stepov, Vice-President at OJSC Russian Railways, and Gaël Dumetier, Regional President of Vossloh AG in Russia and the CIS.

The memorandum provides for the exchange of practical experience in the development of production systems, the use of lean manufacturing techniques based on the experience of Vossloh AG and Russian Railways and the organisation of internal quality control systems for technological processes, as well as training and increasing the level of employee competence and the introduction of innovative technical solutions in the field of railway infrastructure.
