JSC High-Speed Rail Lines and Moscow - Kazan High Speed Line consortium sign declaration of compliance with principles of partnership and good faith
JSC High-Speed Rail Lines, a subsidiary of Russian Railways, and a consortium of companies and designers working on the Moscow - Kazan High-Speed Railway (HSR) with the participation of OJSC Mosgiprotrans, OJSC Nizhegorodmetroproekt and China Railway Eryuan Engineering Group Co. Ltd, have signed a declaration of compliance with the principles of partnership and good faith when implementing the project.
The signing took place at the jubilee X International Railway Business Forum "Strategic Partnership 1520" in Sochi.
The declaration stressed the need to create a network of high-speed lines in Russia, as well as the strategic importance of and the need for the speedy construction of its first section between Moscow - Vladimir - Nizhny Novgorod - Cheboksary - Kazan.
The document consolidates the principles of partnership and good faith of the parties in the negotiation and execution of the contract for the development of the design documentation for the construction of the Moscow - Kazan high-speed main line between Moscow - Kazan - Yekaterinburg.
The agreement on the design between JSC High-Speed Rail Lines and the consortium of designers will be signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum to be held 18-20 June 2015.
The basis for the agreement's signing is the decision of the Tender Committee of Russian Railways (protocol of the competitive commission on April 29, 2015 № 324), as well as the general agreement on the preparation and management of projects under VSC Number 1496463 dated 28 May 2015, which was concluded between Russian Railways and JSC High-Speed Rail Lines.
All the work will be performed during 2015-2016 at a contract price of 20 billion roubles.
