Announcement about international services with France
Due to strikes by French transport workers, the French national railway company SNCF has announced changes to the routes of trains No. 17/18 Moscow – Nice and No. 23/24 Moscow – Paris.
Train number 17 Moscow – Nice, departing on 5 December 2019, will proceed to Ventimiglia station, from where a free bus shuttle service to Monte Carlo and Nice will be arranged.
The train will also depart from Ventimiglia station on 8 December 2019 instead of Nice station. A free bus transfer will be available for passengers with tickets from / to Menton, Monaco – Monte Carlo and Nice stations.
Train No. 23 Moscow – Paris, departing from Moscow on 3 December, will proceed to Kehl station. Passengers will also be provided with a free bus transfer on the Kehl – Strasbourg section, followed by a transfer to the TGV high-speed train.
This train will depart from Offenburg station for the return leg on 6 December. Passengers travelling from Paris will need to arrive at the train station no later than 5:30 p.m. on 5 December for departure on the TGV high-speed train. Passengers will be transported to Strasbourg station, where they will transfer to a bus that will take them to Kehl station, where they can board the Russian train.
Passengers can use the free bus transfer by presenting their tickets for trains No. 17/18 Moscow – Nice and No. 23/24 Moscow – Paris.
Travel on local regional trains will be free of charge in accordance with the passengers’ tickets.
We are currently expected updated information from SNCF on the exact timetables of these trains and how to use the bus transfer.
Federal Passenger Company staff are monitoring the situation and are in constant contact with the train crew.
Passengers of Russian trains abroad will be informed by the representatives of the respective foreign railway companies.
Additional information and guide support will be organised by staff at SNCF and Russian Railways to help passengers with their orientation at the stations.
