Russia and Japan to create Russian-Japanese Centre for Preventive Medicine and Diagnostics
Russian Railways and the Marubeni Corporation of Japan have signed an agreement on cooperation. The agreement was concluded on the sidelines of the V Eastern Economic Forum currently being held in Vladivostok. The document was signed by Oleg Belozorov, the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board at Russian Railways, and Masumi Kakinoki, the President and CEO of Marubeni Corporation.
The agreement defines the general principles of cooperation between the two parties on the implementation of a project to create a Russian-Japanese Centre for Preventive Medicine and Diagnostics in Khabarovsk. The Centre will be organised on the basis of the Non-State Health Institution "Travelling Clinical Hospital at Khabarovsk-1 station of Russian Railways."
The Preventive Medicine and Diagnostics Centre will be equipped with high-end Japanese equipment, which, when used during medical examinations, will provide more accurate images and measurements within a short period of time. Advanced methods of interpreting the results will also enable the earlier detection of diseases and faster accurate diagnoses.
The use of these developments will prevent patients from developing a number of serious diseases such as coronary heart disease by diagnosing them early, as well as providing patients with follow-up.
