Railways from Eurasian Economic Union sign cooperation agreement on technical regulation and metrology
OJSC Russian Railways, Belarusian Railways, JSC National Company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, the State Enterprise National Company Kyrgyz Temir Zholy and CJSC South Caucasus Railways have signed a cooperation agreement on technical regulation and metrology.
The agreement was signed in Sochi on 2 October 2018 within the framework of the International Transport and Logistics Forum PRO//Movement.1520.
Sergey Kobzev, Russian Railways’ Deputy Managing Director and Chief Engineer, signed the document on behalf of the Company.
The agreement envisages cooperation between the parties on the planning, development, coordination, application, revision and cancellation of regulatory technical documents which establish requirements for rail products and rail transport services, as well as processes related to the maintenance and management of technical equipment and the exchange of information on regulatory documents governing technical regulation and metrology, as well as labour regulation.
