Lastochka Trains will carry passengers on Moscow Central Ring throughout New year's
For maximum passenger convenience, Russian Railways will be laying on 24-hour Lastochka
electric train services on the Moscow Central Ring during the night from 31 December
2016 to 1 January 2017.
The services will run at 12-minute intervals on New Year's Eve.
Russian Railways will provide this New Year's transport service using Lastochka
ES2G trains from the Podmoskovnaya depot.
Russian Railways' trains have all the facilities for comfortable passenger travel.
Each car has its own air conditioning to provide an agreeable microclimate in the
carriage whatever the time of year. The Company also pays particular attention to
the convenience of less mobile groups of the population.
Lastochka trains currently run on the Moscow Central Ring at regular intervals:
every 6 minutes during the rush hour between 7:30-11:30 and 17:00-20:30 and every
12 minutes during off-peak times on weekdays.
The trains also run at intervals of 6 minutes from 13:00 to 18:00 at weekends and
Trains run daily from 5:50 to 00:30.
On weekdays, Lastochka trains make 268 trips daily and 240 every day at the weekend.
