In 2017, about 700 million roubles were invested in the complex reconstruction
of the 9 kilometre stretch between Yurovsky - Anapa - Temryuk - Caucasus on North
Caucasus Railways.
The Taman peninsula lies in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai and borders on the Sea
of Azov in the north, the Strait of Kerch in the west and the Black Sea to the south.
The construction of the second tracks was completed on the 18.9 km Yurowski - Krasnaya
Strela section and the 12 km Krasnaya Strela - Starotyarovka stretch.
In addition, the roadbed was filled in on the Starotyarovka - Vyshesteblievskaya
station-to-station block.
The implementation of the programme "Complex reconstruction of the 9 km - Yurovsky
- Anapa - Temryuk - Kavkaz section” will reduce train travel time and increase
the volume of transported goods in the direction of the ports of the Taman Peninsula.
