Tickets for passengers with disabilities can now be issued in the "RZD Passengers" app

A new version of RZD Passengers, the official mobile application of Russian Railways, has been released and is available from the AppStore and Google Play online stores.

The update will be available to all users in the near future immediately after the online stores have completed the necessary procedures.

An updated version of the app for mobile devices using the Windows platform is expected in early October 2017.

The new version of RZD Passengers adds a function to store several documents for the passenger with the choice of which document to use by default; prompts when filling in document numbers; collating passengers in the event they have the same full name and date of birth.

In addition, the mobile application now makes it possible to issue an electronic ticket for specialised seats or berths for people with disabilities provided they have registered previously with the Mobility Center of Russian Railways.

The official mobile application RZD Passengers has been available to users from online application stores since 19 April 2017.

The app has now been installed on over 1.6 million mobile devices.

The app enables passengers to find out about train timetables, buy tickets for long-distance trains without commission, and check information on previously purchased tickets, purchase tickets for bonus points, track their bonus accounts, buy and use transport cards and store their electronic tickets.

Userss also have several additional options. Prices for the nearest dates, navigation inside the station buildings (currently available at 9 Moscow stations), announcements about timetable changes and frequently asked questions.

At the request of users who leave feedback at the app store, work is in progress to improve the service.
