RU EN

According to information received from the French railway company SNCF, train No. 23 Moscow-Paris stopped at Strasbourg station at 04:50 local time (06:50 Moscow time) due to a heavy snowfall in France.

Passengers en route to the French capital travelled on from Strasbourg by high-speed train No. 2584 operated by the local railway carrier TGV (Train à Grande Vitesse) at 05:45 local time. The train arrived at Gare de l'Est in Paris at 09:26 with a 40 minute delay due to a snowfall.

In the opposite direction, train No. 24 Paris-Moscow will depart from Strasbourg station at 23:26 (local time) on 8 February 2018 in accordance with the timetable.

Passengers will be able to travel from Paris to Strasbourg by train 2377 TGV, departing from Paris at 18:55 (local time) and arriving in Strasbourg at 20:41 (local time).

When travelling from Paris to Strasbourg, there may be speed limits that can affect the train’s arrival time.

At the Gare de l'Est in Paris, SNCF staff will issue tickets for the specified TGV service. To obtain a ticket, passengers only need to present their available ticket for train No. 24 Paris-Moscow.

The media had previously reported heavy snowfalls in France, which led to transport disruptions.

According to the meteorological service Meteo-France, more than 15 cm of precipitation fell during the day in the country’s northern and central regions.

The relevant departments declared an orange level of danger. The most critical situation remains in the Paris region of Ile-de-France.

We remind passengers and anyone meeting them that they can access on-line all the current information on train movements on the territory of the Russian Federation in the section "Current train traffic" on the official website of Russian Railways.

Additional information on long-distance trains is also provided by the hotline of OJSC Russian Railways on 8 (800) 775-00-00.
